Death Note Musical

Probably some of you will remember Death Note. The manga was created by Tsugumi Ouba and Takeshi Obata, and due the popularity and anime, 3 action live movies and a 3 videogames were made too. A couple of years ago the rumors of a Death Note musical started to pop up on internet and finally, those rumors were confirmed!!! The launching date in Japan for the Death Note Musical will be the 6th of April in Tokyo and will be there until the 29th of April in Nissay Theater.

After that the musical will move to Osaka and Nagoya. The music is written by Frank Wildhorn known by the Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde musical which runs 4 years on Broadway.

The Light role will be double cast by Kenji Urai and Hayato Kakizawa. You can see both actors rehearsing the Light role in the next video and also other actors and actresses doing a small rehearsing of the musical!!! =。:.ﾟ٩(๑>◡<๑)۶:.｡+ﾟ
