Dear EU Customers,
The European Union (EU) has announced the abolition of the customs duty exemption for imported goods valued under EUR 150.
As a result, for shipments containing goods valued below EUR 150 sent to EU member countries and certain related territories, customs duties and additional customs processing fees may be charged, in addition to VAT and any other applicable taxes, depending on the HS code of the goods.
Please note that these charges are determined by the customs authorities in the destination country and must be paid by the recipient. We recommend that customers shipping to EU countries check their local customs regulations and be prepared for possible additional charges upon import.
Customers who have previously combined different types of items in a single shipment should be aware of this change. Since a fee of EUR 3 will now be charged for each HS code, we recommend grouping similar types of items together in the same shipment whenever possible.
For more information, please refer to the official announcement by Japan Post and the customs authorities in your country.
